Watch Out for Where You Get News

People who get their news from a website, phone app, or the radio are the most informed Americans. 76% of them have an average or high political knowledge (recent Pew Research Center study). Whereas, at the bottom of the scale, only 44% of social media users and 31% of local news viewers performed at the average/high levels. Involvement in the media, percent content, depth of presentation – there could be many reasons why. But if I say I, “get the news,” I may or may not be informed.
