Don't Trust Your Mind

This is a quote from All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doer.

“But minds are not to be trusted. Minds are always drifting toward ambiguity, toward questions, when what you really need is certainty. Purpose. Clarity. Do not trust your minds.”

We need others for all aspect of critical thinking and decision making. We need to know from asking others and seeking experts and knowledge. What is the purpose of knowledge if we do not consult it?
