With the failure of social media companies (by and large), NGOs are coming on line to address the terrible toll that misinformation has taken on our society. There are verbal threats and then there are real threats.
Joel Finkelstein is Director of the Network Contagion Research Institute (https://networkcontagion.us/about/) which is one such organization. Their mission is to "track, expose, and combat misinformation, deception, manipulation, and hate across social media channels." He has assembled a very powerful team of experts.
